Determinants of Premarital Sex Prevention Behavior among Adolescents at SMAS Budi Mulia Utama Jakarta in 2023 According to the HBM (Health Belief Model) Theory

Abstract

This research is a cross sectional study conducted from May 2023 to July 2023 at SMAS Budi Mulia Utama Jakarta, the sample in this study was 101 students who were selected with a mixture of respondents who had been made and the researcher gave the questionnaire directly and invited students to fill out the questionnaire voluntarily until the number of samples is met. The results of the chi square test obtained that the value of p = 0.009 and p = 0.060, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the proportion of premarital sex prevention events in adolescents with perceived vulnerability (meaning in other words: there is a significant relationship between premarital sex prevention and perceived vulnerability), especially can be seen from the first statement and the third statement. The main objective of this research is to understand the factors that influence premarital sex prevention behavior in adolescents, so that it can provide valuable insights in efforts to overcome this problem.
