The purpose of this research is to investigate how financial risk affects business performance and how hedge accounting mitigates that influence. This study uses a quantitative approach. The analysis makes use of secondary data from 2019 to 2022 from insurance firms' annual reports. Both moderated regression analysis (MRA) and multiple linear regression analysis are used in this investigation. The findings show that return on assets (ROA) is significantly and negatively impacted by credit risk. Return on assets is unaffected by market, insurance, liquidity, and operational risks. The MRA analysis demonstrates how hedge accounting can increase the impact of risk associated with credit and insurance returns on assets. Hedge accounting, however, has no effect on how much market, operational, and liquidity risk affect return on assets.
Didin Supyanudin Sudjono Copyright (c) 2024 Didin Supyanudin, Sudjono https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-08-21 2024-08-21 4 4 1432 1449 10.55927/ijba.v4i4.10729 Determinants of Financial Performance of Companies Listed on the Indonesian Institute For Corporate Governance https://journal.formosapublisher.org/index.php/ijba/article/view/10259
The aim of this study was to examine and analyze the impact of Environmental Management Accounting and Environmental Performance on Financial Performance. Moreover, the sales growth is unable to moderate the correlation between these variables on the firm’s capital structure.
Fauzi Nurrahmawanto Julia Safitri Albert Gamot Malau Copyright (c) 2024 Fauzi Nurrahmawanto, Julia Safitri, Albert Gamot Malau https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-08-24 2024-08-24 4 4 1613 1627 10.55927/ijba.v4i4.10436 Debt is Not Always Bad Even in Difficult Economic Conditions https://journal.formosapublisher.org/index.php/ijba/article/view/11136
The problem faced by the company is the use of debt that is not according to plan. The purpose of this study is to determine whether debt policy affects company performance. This study was conducted on manufacturing sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018–2023 with a population of 296 companies, the sample used was 73 companies for six years. Thus, the number of samples used in this study was 438. The company performance variable is proxied by (ROE) while the independent variables in this study are debt policy proxied by (DER and DER*KE), investment decisions (KI), managerial ownership (MNJR), and economic conditions (KE). The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression methods with SPSS software version 26. The results of the study show that the debt policy variable (DER) has a negative and significant effect on company performance (ROE) and the debt policy variable*economic conditions (DER*KE) has a positive and significant effect on company performance (ROE). This means that when economic conditions are supportive, companies that use debt to finance operational activities or business expansion tend to experience increased performance. Funds obtained from debt can be used for investment, new product development, or market expansion. Proper use of debt can increase a company's return on equity (ROE), as long as the rate of return on the investment financed by debt is higher than the cost of debt. Timing the debt decision is crucial. In improving economic conditions, companies can take advantage of low interest rates and increase production capacity.
Sandro Torang Hamonangan Sirait Said Kelana Asnawi Hendrian Copyright (c) 2024 Sandro Torang Hamonangan Sirait, Said Kelana Asnawi, Hendrian https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-09-04 2024-09-04 4 4 1671 1690 10.55927/ijba.v4i4.11136 The Influence of Entrepreneurial Orientation on MSME Business Performance in Bekasi City https://journal.formosapublisher.org/index.php/ijba/article/view/10731
This study aims to investigate the influence of entrepreneurial orientation including innovativeness, proactiveness, and risk-taking on the business performance of MSMEs in Bekasi City. The data obtained in this research is the result of observation, documentation and interviews with Marketing and CEO while carrying out research at the Animation Studio. It was found that analyzes covering portfolio and customer intimacy had been run on a strong basis and implemented quite well. Likewise, the development of resources that have been designed by the CEO to develop the network and add value propositions has been carried out systematically according to procedures.
