Abstract

Schizophrenia is a serious mental illness that needs to be helped. The church as a place for counseling services in carrying out the great mandate based on Christian values and educational interventions is a way to help families and the attitude of the church to be able to intervene in treatment, healing, preventing relapse so that the phenomenon does not recur. The research aims to answer how the method of handling, the attitude of the church and the theological view of schizophrenia. The qualitative research was conducted in the form of literature review and various literature related to the formulation of the problem. The results of the discussion explain the method of counseling services in the era of society 5.0 and family psychoeducation including family support, the role of the church and minimizing community stigma is expected to improve the quality of normal life for schizophrenics.
