The Effect of Discovery Learning Learning Model and Learning Interest in Learning Outcomes

This research aims to determine the effect of using the Discovery Learning Learning Model and Interest in Learning partially or jointly on Student Learning Outcomes with the hypothesis: There is a positive and significant influence between the Use of the Discovery Learning Learning Model and Interest in Learning partially or jointly on Student Learning Outcomes. This research uses descriptive and inferential quantitative methods. The research population was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Balige for the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 205 people with purposive sampling, namely class VIIIf, totaling 30 people. The research instrument is a closed questionnaire, which was prepared by the researcher based on research variable indicators. The questionnaire trial was carried out on 30 students who were not research samples, and was tested using validity and reliability tests. The hypothesis above is accepted as true with the data: 1). There is a positive and significant influence between the use of the Discovery Learning Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes of 35.28% with Fcount>Ftable, namely 15.21>4.20. 2). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of the use of the Discovery Learning Learning Model and Interest in Learning on Student Learning Outcomes together because it has been empirically tested. The implication is that if you want to improve student learning outcomes, you can use the Discovery Learning Learning Model and Interest in Learning well at school.
