Abstract

Albert Schweitzer, a liberal figure whose interest was in the study of Jesus which was based on the assumption of rationalism, namely that miraculous and supernatural things in the Bible could not possibly happen. His views clearly cast doubt on the nature of history and the Gospels and Jesus. Jesus is the heart and center of the Christian faith. The Gospels speak entirely about Him, tell of His ministry and focus primarily on His death. The Gospel of Luke speaks 'of all that Jesus did and taught'. The Gospel of Mark tells us that the incident about Jesus is good news. This is the good news: facts and events about Jesus Christ who was sent by God to be the Savior of mankind, plus an invitation to believe. The Gospel of Matthew states that: 'This is the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham' (Matt. 1:1). Jesus is the heir to the promises given to King David, who himself was the agent of fulfillment of the promises to Abraham. Jesus himself is the way, the truth, and the life, bringing people to true knowledge of the person and work of God (John 1:18; 14:6). His own life and ministry were completely filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:21-22; 4:1,14; Matt. 12:27-28). Christian educators must depend their entire lives on the Holy Spirit, so that the Christian values ​​instilled in students will have an impact, experience life changes and students will live according to God's will.
