Interpersonal communication is an important aspect in providing professional services, including in the
wedding photography industry. Photographers are required not only to master the technical aspects of
taking pictures, but also to be able to build effective interpersonal relationships with clients so that the
photo shoot process runs smoothly and results in high satisfaction. This study aims to answer three
research questions: (1) what are the interpersonal communication strategies of photographers towards
clients in the wedding photo shoot process, (2) how these strategies influence the level of client
satisfaction, and (3) factors that influence the success of interpersonal communication between
photographers and clients. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach through a literature study
from various sources related to interpersonal communication, services, and wedding photography. The
results of the study indicate that effective interpersonal communication strategies include openness,
empathy, supportive attitudes, positivity, and equality. These strategies have been proven to have a
significant influence on the level of client satisfaction because they create emotional comfort, trust, and
positive perceptions of service quality. Factors that influence the effectiveness of interpersonal
communication include the photographer's personal aspects, the use of digital communication technology,
client characteristics, and the photo shoot situation. This study is expected to be a reference for
professional wedding photographers in improving the quality of interpersonal communication-based
services.
