The main variables analyzed include cash holding, revenue, operating profit, and total assets. We use descriptive analysis to identify trends, and Wilcoxon Test by R Studio to test hypothesis. The results show that the M&E industry in Indonesia has experienced significant dynamics in terms of liquidity, assets, revenue, and operating income over the past decade, especially in the face of the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, we found significant changes in firms' cash holding during the pandemic, with an increase in average cash holding after COVID-19. This is a risk mitigation strategy and a precautionary step for M&E companies in the face of post-pandemic uncertainty. It provides important insights for financial managers and policymakers in understanding the patterns of financial performance and liquidity management in the M&E industry, especially in the face of crisis situations.
2025-01-24T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Maulidah Fitria, Arie Cahyani https://journal.formosapublisher.org/index.php/modern/article/view/13265 Forecasting Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product Using Extreme Learning Machine and Double Exponential Smoothing 2025-01-03T08:25:28+00:00 Anggelina Yuniance Bria anggelinabria8@gmail.com Miswanto anggelinabria8@gmail.com Frasto Biyanto anggelinabria8@gmail.com Baldric Siregar anggelinabria8@gmail.com
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is one of the main indicators used to measure the economic condition of a country. Stable economic growth is crucial for achieving societal well-being; however, there are various factors that influence GDP fluctuations. Internal factors, such as ineffective fiscal and monetary policies, as well as external factors like changes in global economic conditions and geopolitical instability, can lead to instability in GDP growth. To improve GDP stability, appropriate fiscal and monetary policies, infrastructure investments, productivity enhancement, and the promotion of industry and the creative economy are necessary. This study employs two forecasting methods, namely Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) and Double Exponential Smoothing (DES), to analyze and predict economic growth based on historical GDP data. The results show that both methods can be used effectively to predict GDP growth, with ELM demonstrating superior ability in producing more accurate forecasts. By applying the right methods, it is expected that stable GDP growth can be achieved, leading to improved societal well-being and advancing the nation's progress.
2025-01-09T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Anggelina Yuniance Bria, Miswanto , Frasto Biyanto, Baldric Siregar https://journal.formosapublisher.org/index.php/modern/article/view/13195 Analysis of the Development of Peer-to-Peer Lending in Indonesia and Its Impact on Financial Inclusion: A Literature Review 2024-12-28T05:54:31+00:00 Muti Larasati mutilarasati07@gmail.com Dina Nurmala Hasan mutilarasati07@gmail.com Fannisya Amelia mutilarasati07@gmail.com Ahmad Gunawan mutilarasati07@gmail.com
Advancements in technology have spurred the emergence of digital financial services innovations (fintech) such as peer-to-peer lending, which is rapidly growing in Indonesia, offering easily accessible financing alternatives. The purpose of this article is to analyze the development of peer-to-peer lending in Indonesia and its impact on financial inclusion in society. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach based on literature study. The findings show that peer-to-peer lending plays a role in increasing the reach of financial services for communities that have not yet accessed traditional banks, while also promoting inclusive economic growth. Although it has a significant positive impact, there are challenges or obstacles faced, such as bad loans, data breach threats, and frequently changing regulations. This research provides insights into the importance of regulatory support and financial education to maximize the benefits of peer-to-peer lending in enhancing financial inclusion in Indonesia.
2025-02-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Muti Larasati, Dina Nurmala Hasan, Fannisya Amelia, Ahmad Gunawan https://journal.formosapublisher.org/index.php/modern/article/view/13109 The Effect of Brand Ambassador and Price on Purchase Intention in Tokopedia Through Trust as a Moderation Variable 2024-12-25T06:44:43+00:00 Mustari Mustari mustari7105@unm.ac.id Muhammad Fazlih Fausiy muhammadfazlihfausiy1372@gmail.com Muhammad Dinar m.dinar5908@unm.ac.id Andi Caezar To Tadampali andi.caesar@unm.ac.id Muhammad Ihsan Said Ahmad m.ihsansaid@unm.ac.id
This study aims to see and determine the influence of Brand ambassador and Price on Purchase Intention on Tokopedia through Trust as a moderation variable. Although the program has not been officially delivered from government, strong indications suggest its likely implementation farther. The main focus of this research is to identify factors influencing implementers' readiness, challenges encountered, and the support needed to ensure the program's effective execution. A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, simulation observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the level of preparedness availability among lower-level implementers remains deficient. This deficiency is influenced by several key factors, including the absence of local government support through socialization, inadequate resource availability, the implementers' capacity and competence, and community participation. Despite the program's planned nature, potential obstacles were identified, including limited facilities, unequal distribution of food supplies, and insufficient technical training for implementers. Furthermore, enhancing community participation is imperative to optimize the quality and sustainability of the program in select schools.
2025-01-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Wirid Winduro, Riska Wirawan https://journal.formosapublisher.org/index.php/modern/article/view/13266 The Spatial Lag X Method Using Three Types of Distance Weighting in Food Security Data Analysis in Central Sulawesi 2025-01-03T08:32:11+00:00 Roselina Lucia Ketty Mbete kettymbete06@gmail.com Miswanto kettymbete06@gmail.com Frasto Biyanto kettymbete06@gmail.com Baldric Siregar kettymbete06@gmail.com
Food security is a critical global issue due to rapid population growth and the increasing impacts of climate change. This study aims to analyze food security and identify spatial patterns among regions in Central Sulawesi in 2022. A Spatial Lag X method was applied, enhanced with three distance weighting techniques: Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW), Exponential Distance Decay (EXP), and Double Power Distance (DPD). These were used to assess the spatial influence on food security data, sourced from the Central Sulawesi Statistics Bureau. The Spatial Lag X approach integrates neighboring regions’ variables to explain the dependent variable. The findings reveal that with IDW and EXP weights at a 10% significance level, no variables significantly influenced the Food Security Index. However, using DPD weights, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per capita at current prices (X4) significantly influenced the Food Security Index at a 10% level. The DPD-weighted Spatial Lag X model was identified as the best model for analyzing food security in Central Sulawesi in 2022, achieving an AIC value of 23.91885 and an R² of 0.9977. This study highlights the importance of spatial factors in understanding regional food security dynamics.
2025-01-09T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Roselina Lucia Ketty Mbete, Miswanto, Frasto Biyanto, Baldric Siregar https://journal.formosapublisher.org/index.php/modern/article/view/13240 The Accountant Position in the Context of State Governance in Indonesia 2025-01-02T04:32:01+00:00 Hidayatullah hidayat.kampai@gmail.com Ardison Asril hidayat.kampai@gmail.com
This study examines the strategic position of accountants within the context of state governance in Indonesia, particularly in supporting transparency, accountability, and good governance. Accountants in the public sector play a crucial role in managing state finances, including planning, recording, reporting, and overseeing financial activities in accordance with good governance principles. A juridical-normative approach is used to analyze relevant regulations, ranging from laws to regional accounting policies. The findings indicate that accountants make a significant contribution to fostering transparent governance, although challenges remain, such as policy harmonization and professional capacity building. This study recommends strengthening regulations, enhancing policy synergy, and improving professional accounting education to support sustainable bureaucratic reform.
2025-01-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Hidayatullah, Ardison Asril https://journal.formosapublisher.org/index.php/modern/article/view/13193 Analysis of Work Environment, Compensation, Training, and Work Discipline on Employee Loyalty Mediated by Job Performance at Badan Pusat Statistik Lamongan Using Partial Least Square (PLS)-Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) 2024-12-28T05:43:11+00:00 Zumrotus Sholihah njuummrotus@gmail.com Abid Muhtarom abid@unisla.ac.id Muhammad Imron Hamzah imronhamzah@unisla.ac.id Yanuar Lazuardi yanuarlazuardi@unisla.ac.id Moh.
