Planning for the Doyan Beach Tourism Area in Tolitoli

The development of the Tolitoli district from a traditional city to a modern city often has physical problems that are not much different from most other developing areas such as the problem of overflowing rivers which cause flooding and puddles, erosion of the coast, pollution by sewage and garbage in the area. the waterfront area and also the development of commercial facilities that grow naturally in the coastal area, thus making the face of the area a row of unorganized recreational facilities. the method used in this research is a type of qualitative research using a descriptive approach. Qualitative research places more emphasis on efforts to answer the meaning that lies behind reality and is revealed through the data collected. So that the researcher became the main instrument in this study. Data collected through interviews and field surveys were then analyzed in order to formulate design concepts used in planning the hooked beach tourism area in Tolitoli. The hooked beach tourism area in Tolitoli is a place that functions as a channel for activities carried out for refreshment and offers interesting functions while contributing to better environmental quality
