This article explores the symbiotic relationship between electric vehicles (EVs) and building energy systems, aiming to establish an interconnected energy ecosystem for sustainable development. As renewable energy sources and technological innovations continue to advance, EVs emerge as a key strategy for decarbonizing transportation. By integrating EVs with building energy systems, numerous benefits can be realized, including reduced carbon emissions, enhanced energy efficiency, and optimized utilization of renewable energy. This synergy transforms the traditional approach to energy consumption, offering both environmental and economic advantages. Through an analysis of industry research, this study identifies three key concepts: sustainable energy ecosystems, building energy systems, and EV charging infrastructure. By leveraging this synergy, society can drive towards a more sustainable and interconnected energy future.
