Abstract

Personal financial management is an important aspect of daily life that requires precision and consistency in record-keeping. However, in reality, many people still keep financial records manually using notebooks or other simple tools. This often leads to various problems, such as data inconsistencies, difficulties in compiling summaries, and delays in obtaining financial information quickly and accurately. Based on observations of the research subjects, the current financial record-keeping system is not integrated and is still carried out manually without the support of a structured database. This situation makes the data processing less effective and increases the potential for calculation errors. This study aims to design and implement a mobile application for a personal financial information system that can help users record income and expenses in a practical manner, as well as present financial information quickly, accurately, and in a structured way. The system development method used was the Waterfall method, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The results of the study show that the developed application is capable of improving efficiency in the financial record-keeping process, reducing the risk of calculation errors, and providing real-time financial information. Thus, the system developed can serve as an effective solution for personal financial management compared to manual methods.
