Abstract

This research presents several messianic thoughts contained in the post-exilic books of the Israelites. The author begins with several important terms about "messiah" that were often used in Israeli tradition at that time. The discussion is based on tracing the source of the appearance of the Messiah in these books (after the exile), related to the Messiah as outlined in the discussion of the article which includes the presence of the figure of the Messiah, and will be proven in the research description in this journal. In it, "messiahship" will also be examined according to the article which discusses topics from far and near contexts. Messiah in another perspective would describe a strong character who is seen as a "hero" who is brave and has the enthusiasm to defend his nationalism. Until now, especially after the Temple was destroyed in that era, rabbis speculate about the figure of the Messiah, even rebuilding new qualifications (read: worldview) that are connected to the prophet's sayings throughout the book of the Tanakh.
