Abstract

This study aims to describe the concept of early childhood education initiated by Aisyiyah-Muhamadiyah.  This research uses a qualitative method with a content analysis approach from the book Education for Children with Progress and Quality published by the Dikdasmen of Aisyiyah Central Board in 2019. The results of the study: 1) The objectives of Aisyiyah PAUD are faith, piety and noble character, 2) the theoretical basis of education is the religious pragmatic school inspired by Ibn Sina and Ibn Khaldun, 3) the learning process is adapted from Froubel-Sara Smilansky by utilising local wisdom, 4) the learning process uses centres by adapting the Iman and Taqwa centres with al-Islam ke-Muhamadiyahan and ke-Aisyiyahan.
