Abstract

The global energy sector is experiencing substantial changes due to factors such as growing populations and higher electrification rates. This leads to a notable increase in the need for electricity. Additionally, the adoption of renewable energy sources like solar and wind power offers environmental advantages but poses grid stability challenges due to their intermittent availability. This piece examines the intricate equilibrium between meeting escalating demand and safeguarding the security of present-day energy systems. It investigates the weaknesses inherent in conventional grids, evaluates the influence of renewables, and suggests approaches to alleviate these issues through technological advancements and modernizing the grid infrastructure.
